HelioScreen Labs proposes an unpublished method which responds to a specific need from industry.

 ► The issue :

When a formula is industrially produced, its compliance to a standard is difficult to validate in terms of QUALITY CONTROL.

A SPF evaluation, often limited, costly, time consuming is not suitable because it doesn’t reflect a strict equivalence. A complete SPF/UVA evaluation not really to be considered, would anyway bring the usual variation linked to these methods.

The specific HelioScreen Labs response

An unpublished approach for the evaluation of the physico-chemical equivalence of two products in terms of absorption :

                              … therefore, in terms of global protection.

Based on an 18 months study of 3 different products, manufactured every month, and compared to their standard sample.

This is the only method which allows the true comparison of two sun protection products, escaping to the usual variation linked to the SPF or UVA PF evaluation.
