►Origin :

Started in 1999, Helios Science Cosmétique laboratory is devoted only to sun protection evaluation by in vitro methods. At that time, these methods, although not accepted by most of cosmetic firms are potentially acknowledged as methods for the future. Also, HelioScreen Labs proposes then a new original measurement substrate: the Helioplate.

►Strategy :

The company’s strategy has always been to take an active part in in vitro tests promotion, in their development, and to participate to most of debates in this area, either at national level (AFSSAPS / AFNOR) or worldwide (ISO). HelioScreen Labs has been present at professional fairs and attended debates, did participate at publications, gave lectures … so as to make out of this laboratory an undisputed leader within this technical field and to be the expert when these testing methods would be acknowledged. This why its know-how has reached such a level now.

Nearly about one quarter of the activity is devoted to research !

►Activity :

As a true expert in in vitro testing, we immediately adapt our testing proposals to new standards and new methods such as the recent COLIPA’s recommendation for UVA protection evaluation.

HelioScreen Labs also offers an acknowledged substrate for in vitro measurement: the Helioplate.
